An exciting opportunity to support the COO and Dean of Gloucester Cathedral.
Full-time, 35 hours per week.

We are looking for a highly organised, experienced and exceptional administrator to work as a trusted partner to The Chief Operating Officer (COO) and The Dean at Gloucester Cathedral. This key role within the charity requires a thinker who can anticipate needs, manage priorities, and support The Dean and COO’s leadership function. The Executive Assistant will act as a bridge between the Dean , COO, Chapter (Board of Trustees), Senior Executive Team (SET) and Cathedral Leadership Team (CLT), plus staff, volunteers and the wider cathedral community to enable and support the delivery of the strategic operational plan, maintaining focus and effective decision making.
You’ll be working closely with teams across the Cathedral Community - including our Clergy and diocese colleagues, so the ability to form positive relationships with various stakeholders is crucial.
The ideal candidate will have:
- At least five years’ experience of working as a high-level EA support to a CEO/Senior leader or equivalent
- Excellent time management and the ability to balance numerous priorities and deadlines
- A high degree of confidentiality and flexibility
