Fundraising and Events Assistant
Gloucestershire (Hybrid office/home working)

We're looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Fundraising and Events Assistant to join our Business Development Team at an exciting stage of growth. This varied and rewarding role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, supporting fundraising events and helping to raise awareness of our mission. You'll play a key role in engaging supporters, delivering fundraising activities and generating the income needed to help transform lives.
What will you do
- Support the delivery and development of fundraising activities and campaigns across the organisation
- Assist with the planning and delivery of fundraising events, including stakeholder liaison and event-day support
- Build and maintain positive relationships with supporters, donors, fundraising groups and corporate partners
- Create engaging fundraising materials, newsletters, promotional content and supporter communications
- Maintain accurate supporter records within the CRM system and support data quality and reporting activities
- Identify new fundraising opportunities and help raise awareness of The Nelson Trust's services and impact
What we are looking for
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car
- Experience working within the charitable fundraising sector
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to inspire and engage others
- Proven ability to build strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and supporters
- Strong organisational, administrative and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and CRM systems
- A proactive team player who is passionate about The Nelson Trust's mission and willing to work flexibly to support events when required
