Playgroup Assistant. Hours: 32.5 hours/week (5 days), term time only. 1 year fixed term contract. Salary: Negotiable dependent on qualifications and experience. Start date: ASAP (dependent on successful Enhanced DBS application).
Condicote Playgroup is currently seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and fun-loving new team member to join its Ofsted rated ‘Outstanding’ setting in the heart of Condicote village near Stow-on-the-Wold.
The successful candidate will ideally have relevant childcare qualifications of Level 2 or above or be willing to undertake a Level 3 apprenticeship with on-the-job training. Previous experience of working in Early Years settings with excellent communication skills with children, staff members, parents/carers and other professionals. You will have a good knowledge and understanding of the EYFS, safeguarding and experience promoting the welfare of young children and have an enjoyment of working in partnership with parents/carers and other professionals, together with a positive approach to promoting diversity and equality, encouraging children to respect the personality, rights and differences of others through play and learning opportunities. Paediatric first aid and food hygiene are preferable.
NB: This post is exempt from the Rehabilitations of Offenders Act 1974. Applicants must be prepared to disclose any convictions they may have and any orders which have been against them. This post will be subject to a fully enhanced DBS check, before successful candidate begins employment.
