Nursery Cook - Part-time, Temporary

Angel Day Nursery is a homely, privately run, caring nursery providing nursery care for children aged 5 months to 5 years.
We provide home cooked meals throughout the day and are looking for a temporary Nursery Cook to join our team.
The position will involve home cooking for up to 40 children daily, home baking, and preparation of snacks. The role also involves washing up and cleaning down the kitchen area, following our allergen control policy and ensuring all dietary requirements are met. The nursery cook is responsible for the weekly food order, stock control and management of the menu, ingredients, and portion sizes.
Experience within a similar job role would be an advantage, but experience in a busy home kitchen would be equally as valuable.
Qualifications:
- Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene
- Level 2 Award in Allergy Awareness - Early Years
Food Hygiene & Allergy Awareness qualifications would be preferable but training for these will be given if not as they would be a requirement of the position.
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: Part-Time up to 18 hours a week: 3.5 hours / Day, Monday – Friday (hours can be negotiated between 8.30 am and 1.30pm)
Training: In house, on the job training will be given and appropriate training will be arranged for Food Hygiene Allergy Awareness and Child Protection, and we have more options for additional training in house and externally.
Pay Rate: Will be discussed at interview and will reflect the market rate depending on experience
