Head Cook

Churchdown Day Nursery is looking for a passionate and organised Head Cook to join our friendly team. We are committed to providing healthy, nutritious, and delicious meals for the children in our care, and we need someone who shares our enthusiasm for creating a positive, home-from-home environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and prepare balanced, nutritious meals and snacks for children aged 0–5 years
• Cater for dietary requirements and allergies in line with nursery policies
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised kitchen in accordance with Food Hygiene Standards
• Order and manage stock efficiently to minimise waste
• Work closely with the nursery team to ensure mealtimes are a happy and inclusive part of the day

About You:

• Experience cooking for children or in a similar catering role (preferred)
• Knowledge of food hygiene, allergies, and dietary requirements
• Ability to work independently and manage a busy kitchen
• Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate (or willingness to obtain)
