Nursery Cook (Part-Time)

Hourly Rate: Competitive – based on experience
Contract Type: Part-Time, with flexibility to cover additional days during staff holidays

We are looking for a warm, reliable, and experienced Nursery Cook to join our friendly team! Working in a busy and nurturing early years setting, you’ll be responsible for preparing healthy, nutritious meals for our children aged 0-5.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and prepare fresh, balanced meals and snacks in line with dietary requirements and allergies
• Ensure excellent standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen
• Maintain accurate food safety and hygiene records
• Work closely with the Nursery Manager to plan menus and manage food supplies
• Be flexible and available to cover additional shifts during staff absences or holidays

About You:

• Previous experience in a similar cooking role (nursery or school setting preferred)
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safety procedures (Food Hygiene Level 2 or above desirable)
• Passionate about providing nutritious meals for young children
• Reliable, well-organised, and able to work independently
• Friendly and approachable with good communication skills
