Our client, an award-winning and well-established care home provider within the healthcare and elderly care sector, based in Tetbury, has an exciting new opportunity for a Second Chef to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis due to continued growth and increased demand.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Second Chef who is passionate about creating high-quality meals using excellent ingredients while enjoying a healthy work-life balance. As a Second Chef, you'll work within a beautifully appointed care home environment, helping to enhance residents' quality of life through exceptional food and hospitality. The successful Second Chef should have:
·Previous experience working within a commercial kitchen environment
·City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent professional cookery qualification
·Strong understanding of food hygiene and health & safety regulations
·Confidence catering for special dietary requirements and nutritional needs
·A passion for delivering exceptional food and person-centred hospitality
In this role, the Second Chef will be responsible for:
·Preparing and serving delicious, nutritious, restaurant-quality meals
·Supporting the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen
·Catering for individual dietary requirements and resident preferences
·Maintaining the highest standards of food hygiene and kitchen safety
·Contributing to a positive dining experience for all residents
About You
Working as a Second Chef, you will strive to deliver person-centred hospitality to the highest standards. You will have experience working within a commercial kitchen environment, ideally within a care home setting, although this is not essential. You should hold a City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent qualification and be confident carrying out all kitchen duties, including catering for special dietary requirements.
Successful candidates will be subject to satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS check.
