Bishops Cleeve, Cheltenham

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our friendly team in Bishops Cleeve.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic, committed Room Leader who can work alongside the team and work closely with the management.

The role of the Room Leader is to assist the management team in providing professional leadership of the Nursery and help to ensure that all children receive the highest standards of care. If you are looking for the next step in your career and would like to gain experience of managing a small team, this position might be for you.

Applicants must have:

  • At least NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Early Years
  • At least 3 years recent experience in the Early Years sector.
  • A good knowledge of the EYFS.
  • A clear passion for working with children.
  • Be able to have key children, plan activities, support children with additional needs and complete observations/assessments.
  • Up to date child protection and first aid are desirable but not essential as training will be provided.

You will be required to work as part of our friendly team, to enable the setting to continue to deliver an outstanding standard of care. You'll be responsible for planning, organising, delivering activities, and creating learning experiences for the children. You will need to lead the team to provide continuous learning outcomes for all children in your area.

Cleeve Day Nursery is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. This post is subject to two references and a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure via the DBS.

Start Date: September/October 2025

Salary: Competitive

Hours Per Week: Full time: Monday - Friday (40hours), would consider 4 days (32 hours)
