Do you want to work in a supportive, inclusive and inspiring setting? We are looking for a curious, enthusiastic and committed early years practitioner with a passion for inclusion to join our team.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated SEND team, led by our Lead SEND practitioner in a beautiful and inviting environment. Our SEND team are working across our setting to enable all of children to thrive, to celebrate their passions and fascinations, and grow their communication and interaction skills. Our SEND team have a dedicated classroom room with enhanced ratios and lower numbers of children as well as supporting children in the busier spaces in our setting.
Your role will be to support the lead SEND practitioner to: advocate for all our learners, enable all children to access the curriculum, help lead the SEND team, supporting practitioners across the setting to assess, plan for and respond to any emerging need or barriers to learning.
We are looking for practitioners who:
- Have real warmth and can build loving and trusting relationships with our children, families, team and community.
Can positively support children to actively explore the learning environment inside and outside.
Who have experience or interest in working with children with social communication differences and autism.
Who are observant to children’s attempts to communicate and encourage the use of words, signs and symbols.
Will work with the key person and other professionals to implement and monitor Individual Provision Plans and small group sessions (talking tunes, Attention Autism etc)
Can work with the team to ensure all children’s safety in our busy nursery environment.
Will support children in all areas of their physical care including changing and specialist feeding.

37 hours term time only with working hours of 8.00am-4.00pm
Salary range is £29064 - £31022 depending on experience (pending pay rise)
