Blossom Lodge Day Nursery are looking to recruit Qualified Nursery Practitioners to work within our Baby Room and Toddlers Rooms
*Full time 44 hours per week (over 4.5 days), or part time available 30 hours per week mornings Monday to Friday, or afternoons Monday to Friday
We are looking to recruit nursery practitioners to work in our family orientated, friendly and inclusive private nursery who pride ourselves in our relationship with parents and is passionate for creating an individual learning environment for each child.
Job Purpose:
To work in the nursery supporting, developing and extending play across the curriculum. Experience of working within the EYFS is essential, a kind and calm manner a must, along with a sense of humour and the ability to work as part of a growing team. A passionate to see young children develop and the ability to be empathetic to their needs is essential
We are looking for someone that is caring and has a passion for working in childcare. You will need to be flexible towards your working hours / days, hardworking and a team player.
Required Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Early Years and Education
- Paediatric first aid certificate (ideally in date)
- Previous Safeguarding Training
- (In relation to the Department of Education Early Years Qualification List, Health and Social Care training is not considered to be a full and relevant qualification for the EYFS and Health and Social Care Qualifications will not be considered for this role)
The Ideal Candidate will have the following:
- Experience of working in a children's day nursery
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to observe and records children's progress
- Good IT skills in order to carry out recording the children's daily information on our online portal
- Enthusiasm and a passionate approach to early years development
- Skills to deliver high quality childcare
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the EYFS
- All applications require 2 references and the successful candidate will be required to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure (DBS)
