Job description:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team and work with our 3-5 year old children, working Monday to Friday, 44 hours per week.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. This role involves managing the daily activities within the nursery, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for all children. The Nursery Practitioner will play a vital role in supporting children's development through engaging activities and effective communication with both children and parents.

Duties

  • Provide high-quality childcare in accordance with the nursery's policies and procedures.
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning and development.
  • Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and play sessions, ensuring a structured environment.
  • Communicate effectively with children to support their emotional and social development.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development, sharing updates with parents as necessary.
  • Foster a positive relationship with parents, providing feedback on their child's experiences at the nursery.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care by adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Drive initiatives that promote leadership within the nursery team, encouraging collaboration among staff members.

Qualifications / Experience

  • A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is essential.
  • Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of EYFS
  • Paediatric first aid training.
  • Previous safegaurding training
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • A genuine passion for childcare and commitment to fostering children's growth and development.
  • Ability to drive initiatives that enhance the nursery's educational offerings is an advantage.
