Deputy Nursery Manager

Dean Close Little Trees Nursery is seeking a dedicated Deputy Nursery Manager to support the leadership and day-to-day running at Little Trees St Arvans Chepstow.
This role is ideal for an Early Years professional who is passionate about children’s wellbeing, quality care, and continuous improvement within a Welsh regulatory framework.
About the Role
Working in partnership with the Nursery Manager, the Deputy Nursery Manager will play a key role in ensuring the nursery provides safe, nurturing, and stimulating environments where children can thrive. You will support the delivery of high-quality care and learning in line with the National Minimum Standards, the Curriculum for Funded Non-Maintained Nursery Settings, and Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) requirements. We are looking for someone who has a passion for early years, who can set high expectations and standards, leading by example and who has an eye for detail.
The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills. We are looking for someone who is proven at leading a team to deliver quality education and care for children and families.

You will have:
- · Minimum of 2 years working in an Early Years setting
- · NNEB, BTEC National Diploma, NVQ level 3 or equivalent, Early Years Teacher status (Level 4/5 desirable)
- Has experience in a leadership role within a CIW-registered Early Years setting.
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of CIW expectations and National Minimum Standards
- Is confident in leading teams and supporting staff wellbeing
- Has excellent communication and organisational skills
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting children’s rights and wellbeing
- Experience of the inspection process
- ·Knowledge of Health and Safety issues and legislation
- Is reflective, proactive, and motivated to support continuous improvement
- -Full time role, working Monday-Friday
