Level 2 or 3 full & relevant Early Years qualification required, start date 1st September 2026
Located in the heart of Leckhampton, Broadlands is a thriving community preschool. Open during term time, we care for approximately 50 children, aged between 2 and 5 years. Broadlands is a popular setting, currently with most days running at full capacity. The Broadlands staff team are a friendly group and are supported by an active Committee of Volunteers.
We are now looking to appoint to a Relief Preschool Assistant to start in September 2026. This position is contracted on an as needed basis to cover staff absence, holidays, training, and periods of increased demand.
Broadlands currently runs sessions between 9am and 3.30pm weekdays during term time. Staff are required to work beyond these hours to set up and tidy up and to attend meetings.
We are looking for someone with superb communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
Previous experience in a childcare setting is necessary together with a real enthusiasm for creating a fun environment in which children can learn.
A clear understanding of, and commitment to, both safeguarding requirements and equal opportunities will be necessary.
DBS required.
Paediatric first aid-desirable
Safeguarding Level 2-desirable.
