Early Years Practitioner

Location: Overbury Grasshoppers Day Nursery
Overbury Grasshoppers is a small private day nursery set on a beautiful rural estate. Surrounded by nature, our children benefit from regular trips to the farm, orchards, woodlands, and visits to our kitchen gardens. Outdoor learning is a key part of our setting, and we encourage children to develop a curious approach to nature, promoting a better understanding of the countryside.
Our curriculum places strong emphasis on the ‘Farm to Fork’ process, and we use locally sourced ingredients and home-grown produce wherever possible.
We are now looking to recruit an experienced Early Years Practitioner with a passion for the outdoors, gardening, and healthy living. We are looking for someone who can bring creativity, enthusiasm, and fresh ideas to our nursery team.
Hours and days can be flexible for the right candidate.
The ideal candidate will have:
- An Early Years qualification or equivalent
- Several years’ experience working in a nursery or similar setting
- A strong knowledge and understanding of the EYFS curriculum and its implementation
- Excellent teamwork skills and a collaborative approach
- Enthusiasm and a passion for early years development
- The ability to plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality, play-based activities
- A solid understanding of safeguarding children
- Experience following children's individual care routines
- A track record of promoting or providing outdoor learning experiences for children
