Urgently Hiring: Deputy Nursery Manager - Sidmouth
Location: Broadway, Sidmouth, Devon, EX10 8RG

Are you an experienced Early Years professional ready to take the next step in your career?
Our preschool in Sidmouth is looking for a Deputy Nursery Manager to join our dedicated team.

About the Role:
As Deputy Nursery Manager, you will support the Head of Early Years in the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for all children. You will deputise in the absence of the Head of Early Years, lead and mentor staff, and maintain strong communication with parents and external agencies.

Key Responsibilities:
Support curriculum planning, implementation, and evaluation in line with EYFS
Lead, supervise, and develop the nursery team
Ensure safeguarding and welfare policies are rigorously followed
Build positive relationships with parents and carers
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with regulatory bodies

What We're Looking For:
Essential:

Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years (minimum)

At least 3 years' post-qualification experience in an early years setting

Proven supervisory/leadership experience

Paediatric First Aid certificate

Desirable:

Level 5 qualification or relevant degree in Early Years Management

Experience in an independent school environment

Familiarity with systems like Tapestry

Personal Attributes:

Passionate about working with young children

Positive, proactive, and resilient attitude

Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills

Professional, reliable, and committed to safeguarding
