Are you passionate about creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for children to learn and thrive? We are looking for a dedicated School Cleaner to join our team at Newnham St Peter's C of E Primary School, part of the Severn Federation Academy Trust.

Job details:

Job title: School Cleaner.

Salary: Grade 1, Point 3. £24,796 (pro rata).

Hours: Monday to Friday. 20 hours per week. Ideally, the working hours will be from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm each day. However, we can be flexible for the right candidate. This will be term time plus 3 weeks of school holidays, as working is required for deep cleaning. Job shares considered.

Contract type: Part-time, Permanent.

Reporting to: Headteacher.

Location: Newnham St Peter's C of E Primary School. The appointment is with the Trust.

Start Date: As soon as possible.

Your Role:

As our School Cleaner, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness across the school premises.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Daily cleaning duties following a set schedule

• Deep cleaning during school holidays

• Safe and appropriate use of cleaning materials and equipment

• Monitoring and replenishing cleaning supplies

• Reporting maintenance and health & safety concerns

• Ensuring secure locking up procedures when required
