Gloucester Cathedral is seeking an experienced Marketing, Communications & Digital Lead to provide senior leadership across all marketing, communications and digital activity during a pivotal 12-month period.
This is a high-impact, outcomes-focused role. You will ensure strong core delivery while strengthening evaluation, insight and digital storytelling, enabling the Cathedral to understand what works and how engagement supports its mission, Operational Plan and financial sustainability.
You will act as a trusted advisor to the Dean, COO and Chapter, leading the refresh and delivery of the Marketing & Communications Strategy to drive audience growth, visitor footfall and income generation.
A key priority will be developing a compelling digital storytelling approach. You will shift content from primarily informational updates to narrative-led, audience-focused stories, using video, photography and campaign-led content to communicate the Cathedral’s life, heritage and contemporary relevance.
You will also lead media relations and reputation management, oversee the website, social media and online box office, and provide clear direction to the Marketing & Communications team.
We are looking for a confident senior professional with strong digital literacy, analytical capability and the judgement to operate effectively in a complex, values-led organisation.

Salary: Band 2 (£49,534 - £52,042) per annum depending on experience
