Neighbourhood Connectors
Gloucester
Are you proactive and a great listener who can see the strength in people and communities? Community organisations across Cheltenham, Forest of Dean, Gloucester, and Tewkesbury are hiring eight NEIGHBOURHOOD CONNECTORS to work with families and children in an area near you!
We are looking for a team of NEIGHBOURHOOD CONNECTORS who will work for one of seven community partners to bring local people together to build their own strong, connected and caring communities. Join us to unleash the incredible potential within all neighbourhoods; the gifts, skills, passions, local knowledge, energy and inventiveness of ordinary folk. It is a role where your creativity, empathy and belief in human kindness can truly shine!
What is a Neighbourhood Connector? They focus on uncovering and connecting the strengths, talents and resources already present in a neighbourhood. A key task is building relationships by attending events, visiting community spaces, and talking to people every day. They won’t be sat at a desk very often! They map local assets and strengths within people and neighbourhoods which means they can spot opportunities to make connections and support community led initiatives. These could range from organising a large community event with others or linking two isolated individuals together who have a shared passion or interest.
