We are looking for an experienced General Builder with strong multi-trade skills to join our growing team. The role involves a wide range of construction works, including structural alterations and steel installation, across residential and small commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities
• General building works including brickwork, blockwork and groundwork
• Structural alterations, including forming structural openings
• Installation of steel beams (RSJs) in accordance with drawings and method statements
• Carpentry works (1st and 2nd fix)
• Basic plastering, rendering, and finishing works
• Reading and working from drawings and specifications
• Ensuring work is carried out safely and to a high standard
• Liaising professionally with clients and other trades on site
Essential Requirements
• Proven experience as a general builder across multiple trades
• Demonstrable experience with structural openings and steel insertion
• Good understanding of structural drawings and temporary works
• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Full UK driving licence
• Own tools preferred
Desirable (but not essential)
• NVQ / City & Guilds or equivalent construction qualifications
• Experience working on extensions, renovations, and refurbishments
