Production Manager - 4 day week - 09/7

Production Manager – Cheltenham
4-Day Week (Monday to Thursday)
7:30am – 4:00pm | £35,500 per annum

Key Responsibilities:
Production Management
• Plan and allocate work to Operators, Process Specialists, and Inspectors.
• Ensure work is progressed efficiently through the shop floor.
• Identify and resolve delays or production issues swiftly.


Order & Planning
• Enter customer orders into the manufacturing system and acknowledge orders.
• Coordinate delivery schedules, keeping customers informed.
• Achieve agreed delivery timelines while maintaining high quality standards.


People Management
• Lead, support and develop shop floor teams.
• Approve holidays and manage absence cover.
• Conduct performance appraisals and handle pre-disciplinary matters professionally.


Health & Safety
• Act as Safety Officer and champion a safe, clean, and well-maintained working environment.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies and statutory regulations.


Training & Compliance
• Identify and coordinate staff training needs.
• Ensure timely calibration and maintenance of equipment.

 

Ideal Candidate Profile:
• Experience in a production or operations leadership role in manufacturing.
• Working knowledge of AS9100 quality management standards is essential.
• Familiarity with MRP systems.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communicator who can build rapport at all levels.
• Proactive, professional, and able to lead by example.
