Skilled Experienced Mechanic

This job will be for a PAYE person and will cover working for Mini Worxx and Evolution9 on Mini’s,
Porsches and classic cars along with one off performance and development cars.
Permanent, full-time - £40,000 - £52,000 per year, for the right candidate (PAYE), negotiable upwards for the right skill set, attitude, drive and productivity.

A Very Exciting Opportunity Has Opened Up for a skilled Mechanic to carry out standard mechanic’s
roles along with some special one off car creations, with various current and future projects,
standard repairs & servicing and maintenance on various other model vehicles.
Many of the regular day to day jobs will involve working on Mini’s from 2002 – Present. Repairs and
servicing – Don’t believe the myth that Mini’s are hard to work on, they are NOT when you know
how, as we do at Mini Worxx Independent Mini Specialist.
Common duties include diagnosing vehicle faults, repairing or replacing faulty parts and carrying out
periodic maintenance. Along with assisting/leading in the building of one off bespoke creations.
Additionally, a 944 Turbo Shooting Brake which needs to be completed and will be unveiled at the
Silverstone Festival and the Classic car Show N.E.C with the invitations from PCGB.

We will be continually developing and building exciting new projects and continue to expand on our
Porsche service and repair division. Ex-Porsche or BMW/MINI trained technicians would be a distinct
advantage.
The repairs & servicing revolves around ensuring that a vehicle functions efficiently, all as the
manufacturer designed.
The main duties and responsibilities will include:
- Diagnosing vehicle faults manually or with the aid of software and diagnostic equipment
- Completing cost and time estimates for work done - job cards.
- Repairing and replacing faulty vehicle parts
- Performing test drives to check repairs (full driving licence required)
- Carrying out scheduled servicing and maintenance
- Updating vehicle service records
- Installing and fitting new vehicle accessories
- Ability to work on custom builds
- Welding skills would be an advantage
- Some knowledge of auto electrics but not necessary as we do have a dedicated auto electrician/audio specialist on staff.
You Must Have:
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Long term experience as a mechanic
- Fabrication skills would be a huge advantage.
- A Full driving licence
