We are recruiting cleaners and housekeepers in three areas: Dursley and the surrounding villages, Tewkesbury, and Cheltenham and Gloucester.
Ellia is a specialist housekeeping and home help service supporting older and disabled adults to live well at home. We work with clients across Gloucestershire who want reliable, friendly help from someone they can genuinely trust. Our helpers are the heart of what we do, and we take care in matching the right person to each client.
This is a cleaning job, not a care or nursing role. You will be cleaning people's homes, doing their laundry and keeping things tidy and organised. You will not be doing personal care, medication or any medical or nursing tasks. It is about doing the practical things that help someone feel comfortable, safe and less alone at home.
This is also not a self employed role. You will be employed directly by us, with paid holiday and PAYE operated.
Hours and pay
- 8 hours a week minimum, with additional hours available on a flexible basis
- Hourly rate £13.45 plus holiday, which works out at £15.07 per hour take home
- Paid holiday accrued in line with statutory entitlement
- Consistent, predictable core hours agreed with you in advance

- General cleaning and tidying
- Laundry and ironing
- Keeping the home organised and presentable
