ORDER PICKER AND WAREHOUSE PERSON

This position is for an afternoon/evening order picker and warehouse person

SUNDAY TO THURSDAY 2PM TO 10PM

Established in 1975, D J Perks & Son’s is a family run Wholesale fruit and vegetable company distributing first class produce across Gloucestershire and the surrounding counties, delivering to Shops, Restaurants, Hotels, Schools, The Care home sector and fast food outlets. We are one of Gloucestershire’s largest Wholesale Fruit And Vegetable distributers with strong family values and a company ethos of supplying the freshest Local produce from local farms and growers, and using the finest Seasonal British Produce.

The main responsibilities and functions of this role include:

• Order picking and packing and warehouse duties
• Occasional Driving of 3.5t vans
• Loading and unloading vehicles
• Delivery of fruit, vegetables and potatoes and dairy products
• Intensive HEAVY work
• Complete stock rotations and warehouse cleaning.

The Requirements:
Essential:

• UK/EU driving licence
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Hard working and good team work skills
• Experience of delivering excellent customer service
• Positive friendly attitude possessing high levels of commitment and motivation
• Good time keeping and flexibility
• Have an eye for detail to ensure accuracy and precision.
• All applicants must be over the age of 25 because of insurance purposes.
• All applicants must live within the locality, we do not entertain applications from outside the UK.

Desirable:

• Multi-drop experience
• Experience of the wholesale industry
• Forklift experience

The wage structure is as follows:

• £11.44 per hour before tax basic, we then boost this with a weekly £30 evening work bonus and a £20 attendance and time keeping bonus
• 22 days per year paid holiday
