Are you ready to lead with confidence, nurture with care, and inspire a team to deliver outstanding practice for babies in their earliest years?
We’re seeking a dedicated and experienced practitioner to step into the role of Lead Educator for the Babies Department. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about child-led care and eager to manage a team of six practitioners, all within a supportive, family-run setting.
Rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted in 2024, our nursery is nestled in the acre grounds of a historic thatched cottage. Since 1994, we’ve championed outdoor exploration, well-being, and independence — from woodland wanders to veggie planting and baby yoga!

🌟 In This Role, You Will:
• Lead and manage the daily operations of the Babies Department
• Supervise and support a team of six nursery staff, offering mentorship and guidance
• Work closely with leadership and qualified teachers to deliver high-quality, child-led activities
• Maintain a warm, nurturing space where babies can thrive emotionally and developmentally
• Build trusted relationships with parents and carers, keeping them closely involved in their child’s journey
• Ensure policies, safety standards and EYFS frameworks are upheld every day

💡 What We’re Looking For:
• NVQ Level 3 or higher in Early Years Education
• Experience working with babies, ideally in a senior or deputy role
• Confidence in team leadership and daily room management
• A calm, kind and encouraging presence with excellent communication skills
• A desire to grow professionally within a values-driven, supportive setting
