The Role

Drybrook Primary School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated KS1 Class Teacher to join our team on a fixed term basis to cover long term sickness until Summer 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a supportive and collaborative school community. The successful candidate will play an important role in delivering high quality teaching and learning and ensuring that all pupils achieve their full potential.

Drybrook Primary School is part of the Forest of Dean Trust, providing opportunities for collaboration, professional development and support across our schools.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

Plan and deliver high quality lessons in line with the primary curriculum

Monitor and assess pupil progress and use data effectively to inform teaching

Ensure all pupils are appropriately supported and challenged, including those with SEND and Pupil Premium

Contribute to the development of teaching and learning across the school

Work collaboratively with colleagues and support whole school initiatives

Promote a positive, inclusive learning environment where all pupils can succeed

The Successful Candidate Will

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Have strong knowledge of the primary curriculum

Be committed to achieving the best outcomes for pupils

Be an effective communicator who can build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents

Demonstrate enthusiasm, flexibility and a commitment to professional development

Be a positive team player who contributes to the wider life of the school

Experience of teaching across the primary age range or supporting pupils with SEND would be desirable.
