The Longlevens Primary Federation has an experienced and committed Governing Body. Due to the retirement of an experienced Governor and a change in circumstances we currently have 2 vacancies for co-opted governors on our board. From our skills audit, we would particularly welcome applications from individuals with experience in EYFS, Inclusion, property and estate management and HR policy to add to the expertise we already have.

Our Federation consists of two schools and an early years setting, Longlevens Infant School, Longlevens Junior School and Playdays. We are proud of our welcoming and nurturing school environments that respect and celebrate diversity. Our drivers of Child-centred, Enriching and Community, provide us with the principles that guide all our decision making. The Federation is united in its passion to offer excellence through a seamless primary experience. There is one governing body across the Federation which is made up of staff, parents and co-opted governors from outside the immediate school community, who together offer a valuable range of skills to the schools. The Governing Board and committees meet regularly, mostly on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, with a mixture of online and face-to-face meetings, and governors also make a number of visits to the schools each year.

The role of the governing body:
• Set the school’s strategic direction
• Hold the Head Teachers to account for the schools’ performance
• Ensure that the schools’ budget is properly managed

If you are interested in supporting and challenging the Federation in its strategic aims and improvement journey please email clerk@lpf.school for further information and an application pack.

The successful applicant will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and will be required to produce relevant documentation before the post commences.

Longlevens Primary Federation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share the same commitment and values of our school. This position is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
