Diocesan Advocate for Creation Care

Do you care deeply about the environment and want to make a difference?

The Diocese of Gloucester is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic volunteer to become our
Diocesan Advocate for Creation Care.

This is an exciting opportunity to help churches, deaneries and communities across the Diocese
respond to environmental challenges and play their part in caring for God's creation. The role
supports the Diocese's LIFE vision and its commitment to creation care and environmental justice.

What you will you do?

As our Creation Care Advocate, you will:

• Champion environmental awareness and action across the Diocese.
• Monitor and encourage the A Rocha awards programme.
• Build connections with deaneries and local environmental champions, and help share ideas from the Church of England national environmental network
• Help celebrate all the good things that are happening

Who are we looking for?

We're seeking someone who:

• Has a passion for environmental stewardship and sustainability.
• Enjoys building relationships and encouraging others.
• Is a good communicator and able to inspire people from a range of backgrounds.
• Can work collaboratively with clergy, lay leaders and diocesan staff.
• Wants to help churches make a positive difference in their communities.

What support will you receive?

You will work alongside colleagues in the Department of Mission and Ministry, with access to
diocesan networks and some administrative support.
