Dean Close Foundation are seeking an enthusiastic and inspirational Head of Religious Studies to provide strong academic leadership within our Prep School. The successful candidate will lead and develop their subject area, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning and supporting pupils’ academic progress and wellbeing.
Working closely with the Academic Director and other Heads of Department, the role involves curriculum leadership, line management of departmental staff, and the delivery of high-quality, engaging lessons. The post holder will promote inclusive practice, effective assessment, and innovation within the department, while contributing positively to the wider academic and pastoral life of the school.
Applicants should be outstanding classroom practitioners with a passion for their subject, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to enriching school life through clubs, trips and events.
This role would suit an enthusiastic and forward-thinking teacher with strong leadership skills and a commitment to delivering an exceptional educational experience for pupils.
Senior Pastoral positions are also available, both as residential Houseparents in our boarding houses or as Houseparents in the school’s day houses. Separate job descriptions for these roles are available on request.
