We’re seeking an organised, proactive Employment Coach to join the Student Support Team at Gloucestershire College. You’ll coordinate high-quality work placements, ensure compliance, and empower students to build essential employability skills, collaborating with employers and curriculum teams to deliver a seamless, professional experience that makes a real difference.
As an Employment Coach at Gloucestershire College, you will play a key role in supporting students to secure meaningful work placements that enhance their skills and future career prospects. You will be responsible for the administration and coordination of all placements, including T Level industry placements, ensuring they are safe, suitable and fully compliant.
In this administrative advisory role, you will:
- Support students in identifying and preparing for appropriate work placement opportunities.
- Carry out all administrative checks, including health and safety assessments, risk evaluations and verification of employer suitability.
- Maintain accurate records, documentation and reporting to ensure compliance with internal and external requirements.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with employers, acting as a professional point of contact throughout the placement process.
- Provide ongoing advice and guidance to students before, during and after their placements, helping them develop confidence and workplace readiness.
About You
• Strong communication skills, ideally gained within a customer service or administrative environment.
• Experience working with young people aged 16–18.
• Willingness to complete Equality and Diversity and Safeguarding training.
