SCHOOL ADMINISTRATOR

Are you highly organised, creative, and passionate about making a difference in a school community?
We are looking for a dynamic School Administrator to join our team and play a key role in the smooth running of our busy school office.
This is a varied and rewarding position where no two days are the same. You’ll be the welcoming face of the school, managing communications, supporting staff, and ensuring that our systems run efficiently. This role will suit an individual who has experience of providing strong and effective administrative support within a fast-paced environment and who can work efficiently under pressure, adhering to strict deadlines. With a high level of computer literacy, you will be able to communicate confidently, both orally and in writing, and be able to build relationships across teams to deliver tasks effectively, reflecting the values of the school in all of your interactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day school administration, including calls, emails, pupil registers, and lunch processing.
- Act as the first point of contact for parents and visitors, providing a friendly and professional service.
- Organise school trips, workshops, and clubs, bringing creativity to planning and communication.
- Maintain accurate records using SIMS, ParentPay, and other school systems.
- Support staff with training bookings and supply cover arrangements.
- Create newsletters and school communications and website updates.
Person Specification
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A creative approach to problem-solving and communication.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and school systems (SIMS, ParentPay).
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
The successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS clearance application.
All holidays must be taken outside of term time weeks.

Salary: Grade 4 NJC scale (£26,403-£27,694 FTE) pro rata
