About us

Belong School Gloucestershire is a small independent school for students aged 11-16 with special educational needs.

Using small groups and one-to-one teaching to encourage academic, social and emotional learning, we provide education for students in years 7-11 who have an Education Health and Care Plan for Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.

About you

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a busy office environment, with transferable skills in IT, task prioritisation, attention to detail and communicating with both internal and external agencies.

You will be reliable, conscientious and able to adapt well to different presenting priorities.

You will be an effective communicator with excellent problem solving skills.

You will have high expectations and ensure that all staff and visitors are greeted into a welcoming, tidy and professional environment in compliance with our Safeguarding policy.

About the role

As the School Administrator, you will be required to perform a varied range of administrative tasks . The role also requires reception cover on a rota basis, which involves being the first point of contact and welcoming visitors to our school.

As a forward- facing role, it involves contact with staff, students and visitors; professional, welcoming communication is essential.

You will work as part of our support team to offer administrative support to enable all processes to run smoothly and with full compliance with regulations and policies.

Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students is paramount and all staff are expected to share and embrace this commitment. Due to the nature of work in schools and contact with pupils, all posts will require an enhanced DBS Disclosure and this position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974. Any offer of employment is subject to two satisfactory professional references, medical clearance, an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check (DBS), evidence of eligibility to work in the UK and proof of qualifications. All of the above checks must have been completed before the start of employment.
