We are seeking a friendly, highly organised, detailed orientated Administrator to join our small, supportive office team in Rodborough, Stroud. You’ll help keep our natural health education business running smoothly supporting students, processing orders, updating records, and helping maintain a calm, well-run environment. Ideal for someone who loves detail, enjoys varied admin tasks, and wants a meaningful role in a friendly workplace.
JOB TITLE: ADMINISTRATOR
FOCUS: ADMIN SUPPORT
To support the directors and other staff to help maintain a smooth running office environment, with a focus on administration, orders and student records.
OBJECTIVES: To help maintain a professional, friendly and organised office; answering phones, processing orders, tracking student progress, enrolling students, updating content and course material.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answering phone calls - referring as necessary
- Enquiries & Follow-ups
- Order processing (invoicing, receipts)
- Database and file updating Filing
- Typing
- Enrolling students and maintaining student records
- Add orders to packing list
- Print and collate course material
- Update course content as necessary
- Dealing with general email enquiries
- Work on ad hoc projects as time allows
QUALITIES: This role is ideal for someone who likes to work quietly, loves detail and juggling lots of admin processes – perhaps more of an introvert who likes to keep busy? Organised, thoughtful, works quickly but is accurate, motivated and keen to offer a good service to our customers/students, willing to muck in and help out as necessary, friendly and reliable, enthusiastic, trustworthy, good time keeper, dedicated, can prioritise own workload (or ask us to provide this), likes to keep busy but happy to work quietly in a small open-plan office. Likes dogs (we have a small Cockapoo, aka ‘Chief Shredder’).
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE: Good written English and grammar skills. Computer competent and quick to learn, ability to grasp complex admin processes and work across various computer systems (database, spreadsheets, online system); Microsoft word, excel spreadsheets, email, databases, web admin tools (although no previous experience necessary), familiar with a Mac or PC (we use Macs, but they are easy to learn if you have PC skills). Good grasp of the internet. Able to type at a reasonable speed; knowledge of any computer design packages could be useful but not essential. An interest in natural health, wellbeing, nutrition or homeopathy is a real plus.
REPORTS TO: The directors: Mani and Amanda Norland
LOCATION: Based at our admin office: Orchard Leigh, Rodborough Hill, Stroud
HOURS: 9.30–5.30pm Monday to Friday
SALARY: From £24k depending on experience (5 days a week) £19.2 (4 days a week)
HOLIDAY: 30 days inc bank holidays. Extra day given each year up to 38 days.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to work in a small team, in a quiet office, with a focus on health and education. The successful candidate will have good written English skills, a great eye for detail and an ability to apply themselves well to many systems and procedures. Although we have a large network of staff across numerous education functions from lecturers, course authors, tutors, mentors, supervisors, and representatives, we operate and look after everyone as a small & dedicated team in our local admin office. We are looking for our fifth team member.
