Production Operative – Electrical Industry

Our client, based in Tewkesbury, is seeking an experienced Production Operative to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis. This role is ideally suited to someone with a background in wiring or electrical assembly, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

This is a fantastic long-term opportunity to become part of a supportive and growing team where full training is provided. The successful candidate will be involved in electrical assembly and wiring duties, while also supporting the warehouse with picking and packing during busy periods.

Key Duties:
-Assembly and wiring of bespoke electrical distribution products, such as combination units, terminal boxes, switch panels, control cabinets, and consoles.
-Reading works orders, BOM’s, drawings and specifications provided to manufacture modular electrical assemblies.
-Connecting wiring to circuit breakers, plugs, switches, terminals and electrical equipment using hand tools and power tools.
-Crimping of terminals and lugs to wire ends, using hand or machine crimping devices.
-Conducting functional and continuity testing of electrical assemblies, components, harnesses, and plugs using electrical testing equipment.
-Mechanical assembly of components prior to wiring, including cutting and preparation of plastic, metal and GRP enclosures.
-Ensure that the working environment, tooling and the equipment provided are maintained and well kept.

Hours: Monday – Friday: 8:30am – 5pm

Salary: Up to £30,000 depending on experience + benefits including free parking, internal career development, plus ongoing training support.
