Glosfume Limited, in Winchombe Cheltenham are looking for a full time Mechanical Fitter with experience of hands on Production / Fitter / Manufacturing environments to join our expanding team.

This is a great opportunity to work in a growing company and contribute to our commitment to delivering high quality products, which are sold all over the world. The successful candidate will be working alongside the assembly and workshop teams.
Own transportation will be required due to our location.

Main Duties are varied, to include but not limited to:

  • Accurately work to engineering drawings and instruction.
  • Assemble components and products according to specifications.
  • Electrical wiring
  • Mechanical fitter
  • Assembly and testing of all outgoing productions.
  • Inspect finished products for quality
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any assembly issues / defects with the management and draughts team.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
  • Clear practice of work place H&S
  • Checking GRNs and reporting shortfall / faults within the supplier terms.
  • Sheet metal work
  • Service work
  • Manual handling up to 25kg
  • Able to work away offsite as and when required to include overnight stays

Desired Knowledge / Experience:

  • Proficiency in using hand tools.
  • Previous experience in assembly or related fields
  • Understanding assembly techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions/drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control
  • Experience in electronics
  • Forklift licence would be advantageous but not essential

  • Good organisation skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating in a team environment.
  • Able to demonstrate flexibility and reliability

Schedule Monday to Friday, overtime as required

Holidays Annual Entitlement of 20 days per annum, plus 8 bank holidays, and christmas shut down

Salary: From £30,000.00 Depending on experience
