Are you an experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer with a strong electrical background looking to join a well-established manufacturing business with long-term stability?

We're recruiting on behalf of a leading food manufacturing company for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their experienced engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on modern production equipment within a fast-paced manufacturing environment where no two days are the same.

The Role

You'll play a key role in keeping production running by carrying out reactive and planned maintenance across a variety of automated manufacturing equipment.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Responding to equipment breakdowns quickly and effectively
  • Electrical and mechanical fault finding
  • Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
  • Repairing, testing and recommissioning production machinery
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with engineering standards
  • Participating in the engineering call-out rota

What We're Looking For

We're keen to speak with engineers who have:

  • Strong electrical bias (approximately 70/30 Electrical/Mechanical)
  • Previous experience within FMCG, food manufacturing or another fast-paced production environment
  • Excellent electrical fault-finding skills
  • Experience working on automated or high-speed manufacturing machinery
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Engineering qualification (HNC, HND, City & Guilds or equivalent experience)

What's On Offer?

  • 20.59 per hour
  • Overtime paid at 1.25x after 40 hours
  • Weekly call-out allowance ( 100 standby payment plus 50 per call-out, plus hourly rate when attending)

Shift Pattern

Week 1

  • Monday-Friday: 6:00am-1:45pm
  • Saturday: 6:00am-Finish

Week 2

  • Monday-Friday: 1:45pm-9:45pm
