Location: Bristol (Applicants must live within 30 miles of Bristol)
Salary: 38,000 - 40,000 DOE
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fire Alarm Service Engineer to join a well-established fire and security company working across a university residential portfolio in and around Bristol.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the planned maintenance, servicing, fault finding and repair of fire alarm systems, ensuring all systems remain compliant and fully operational.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance on fire alarm systems
  • Service and maintain GENT fire alarm systems
  • Diagnose and rectify faults in a timely manner
  • Complete all relevant service documentation and reports
  • Ensure compliance with current industry standards and legislation
  • Provide excellent customer service while representing the business on site
  • Participate in the call-out rota where required

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience within the fire alarm industry
  • GENT Basic Certification
  • GENT Advanced Certification
  • Strong service and maintenance background
  • Proven fault-finding experience
  • Good knowledge of addressable fire alarm systems
  • Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Must live within 30 miles of Bristol

Desirable

  • FIA qualifications
  • Experience within student accommodation, residential or large commercial environments
  • Knowledge of BS5839 standards
