Salary: c£45,000–£55,000 (DOE)
Full time | Permanent | Office based

 

We have partnered with a long established, traditional construction business. This Client is known for their strong pipeline of repeat business and excellent industry reputation, they offer genuine long term stability – a fabulous opportunity for an experienced Estimator who is looking to be part of a stable and secure team and business.

This vacancy has arisen due to an impending retirement, creating a rare opportunity for someone who enjoys being part of a busy, technical sales estimating environment and wants to build a secure future with a supportive employer.

Please note: Full company details are confidential and will be disclosed at interview stage. Candidates must be located within commutable distance of Monmouth, Forest of Dean, Ross-on-Wye, or Hereford due to the role being office based when not on site with customers .

The Role

As a Sales Estimator, you’ll handle incoming enquiries and provide accurate, commercially sound quotations from early engagement through to final cost analysis.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing enquiries and gathering client requirements
  • Attending site surveys/meetings where required
  • Preparing detailed estimates across materials, fabrication, installation, and associated works
  • Liaising closely with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery of orders
  • Supporting final accounts and contributing to cost reviews
  • Building and maintaining strong customer relationships

 

What our Client is looking For

  • Experience in estimating, steelwork, cladding, or broader construction (beneficial)
  • A practical, problem solving mindset
  • Confidence when engaging with clients and attending sites
  • Strong numerical, organisational, and communication skills
  • A team player who thrives in a technical sales environment
  • Confident ability to read technical drawings.
