Event’s Organizer
Cheltenham
The Rock team would like some support to arrange, set up & run 3 or 4 events a year. These could be fundraising events or local events / fun days or fates that The Rock may or may not be already invited to or involved in. We are looking for a volunteer or two that has a passion for positive community engagement and organizing events. This will enable The Rock to expand its reach and community engagement as well as promote and raise valuable funds for the ongoing work and projects with local young people.
Volunteers both male and female, from all age groups and backgrounds are welcomed, however the minimum age for this role is 18. DBS checks are carried out, however a criminal record will not necessarily bar you from volunteering. Our skilled Youth Workers have experience with working with young people and are on hand to offer advice and support. All volunteers will have induction training to include Safeguarding prior to volunteering. There is also further training opportunities available in Food Hygiene, First Aid & more.
About The Rock
The Rock is a safe space for young people to develop their spiritual, emotional and physical wellbeing. We live out practical Christian love for all young people, regardless of faith or background, through challenging activities from urban street sports to essential life skills. During school hours, we work with young people who have been or are at risk of being - excluded from mainstream education. In the evenings our doors are open to all young people who want somewhere safe to hang out, to play sports, or to learn new skills.
The timings would be flexible.
