Full time, Fixed-Term Contract (8 months, ending 30th October 2026)
Salary £23,750 (pro-rata)
+ 33 days holiday per annum (including bank holidays)

About Cheltenham Festivals
Cheltenham Festivals is a charity creating joyful, inspiring cultural experiences through our world-renowned Jazz, Science, Music and Literature Festivals. We champion accessibility, inclusion and sustainability across all our work.
We are seeking an enthusiastic Operations Intern to support the smooth planning and delivery of our 2026 festival programme.
The Role
Working with the Operations Manager and three Operations Coordinators, you will help ensure effective festival logistics, administration and on-site delivery. You will receive training in FestivalPro and work with teams across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities: Pre-Festival:
• Administrative support across the Operations team
• Assist with travel and logistics forms, including speaker presentation collation
• Book props, equipment and other items required for events
• Support—and later lead—on participant travel and vehicle bookings
• Keep event admin accurate within FestivalPro
• Arrange meetings, agendas and minutes
• Coordinate festival ID materials
• Assist with setting up and running the festival site office
• Produce signage, parking schedules and documentation
• Support artist rider requests and Marketing show admin
• Help maintain storage spaces
During Festivals:
• Support Get In/Get Out with Operations and Production
• Assist Artist Liaison with hospitality needs
• Lead on artist/speaker transport and volunteer drivers
• Provide ad hoc support across departments
• Cover Operations Coordinators where needed
About You
• Clear and confident communicator
• Good IT skills, with willingness to learn new systems
• Strong attention to detail; organised and methodical
• Calm under pressure and able to prioritise
• Team player—respectful, inclusive and supportive
• Creative thinker with a proactive, flexible approach
• Interest in arts, science or events
• GCSE Maths & English (or equivalent)
