Finance Assistant
Cirencester
Our client, a well-established and trusted expert within the manufacturing industry based in Cirencester, is currently recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join their friendly team on a permanent part time basis.
Duties:
-Providing efficient and accurate finance and administrative support to the wider business
-Process purchase and sales ledger transactions including credit control
-Bank reconciliations and balance sheet account reconciliations including journals
-Be responsible for the month-end and year-end close activities
-Preparation of monthly management accounts
-Quarterly VAT returns and HMRC submissions related to P11ds, P46 and tax calculations
-Be responsible for all payroll instructions and ensure preparation in time for the weekly and monthly payroll run
-Liaise with HMRC and pension providers regarding submissions and compliance
-Assist with payroll queries and provide reports as needed
-Ensure confidentiality and compliance with GDPR and payroll legislation
Candidate requirements:
-Previous experience within a similar role
-Positive, pro-active person with a friendly approach
-Ability to use own initiative and take ownership of workload
-Discrete and professional with the ability to understand the sensitivity of information
Salary – up to £35,000 depending on experience pro rata
Hours - Flexible on hours, approx. 20/25 hours per week
*Monday availability is essential for this role as this is the day payroll is run
