Finance Assistant

We’re looking for a proactive and dependable Finance Assistant to join our team, supporting the day-to-day finance function, customer accounts and wider commercial operations. Reporting to Financial Controller, this is a varied, hands-on role that would suit someone who enjoys working with different areas of the business and is keen to develop their finance experience.

Day to day, you’ll deal with customer account queries and payment calls, help manage aged debt and chase outstanding payments, allocate BACS payments and release accounts from hold where appropriate. You’ll also support supplier queries, liaise with the commercial team and raise rent, third-party and other ad hoc invoices.

You’ll also provide valuable cover across the finance team during holidays and absences. This could include setting up new accounts, processing credit notes and refunds, bank reconciliations, month-end support, invoice and statement runs, FOC reviews, KPI and aged debt reporting, CCJs and account price maintenance.

We’re looking for someone with a positive, can-do attitude who is willing to learn, enjoys working as part of a team and is happy to step in and help when needed. Good Excel skills and confidence working with financial information would be beneficial, although training can be provided. Working hours are either 8:30am–4:30pm or 9:00am–5:00pm.
