Are you an organised and detail-oriented Finance Assistant looking for an exciting opportunity in a beautiful rural location? We are seeking a proactive and motivated individual to join our friendly finance team based in the stunning surroundings of Whitfield, Herefordshire.
The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role within a busy finance function, supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with VAT processes, and ensuring deadlines are met efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting with the preparation and submission of VAT returns
* Maintaining accurate financial records and reconciliations
* Processing invoices, payments and expenses
* Supporting month-end and year-end finance activities
* Producing reports and spreadsheets using Excel
* Ensuring financial information is accurate and up to date
* Working closely with colleagues across the business
About You
* AAT qualified (or equivalent)
* Previous finance/accounts experience
* Strong understanding of VAT and experience of VAT return submissions
* Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
* Ability to work effectively to deadlines
* Competent IT user with good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
* Positive, proactive and able to work independently as well as part of a team
