Forklift Driver

Forklift Driver required in Newent, earning £12.71 per hour plus £40 weekly shift premium (equivalent to £13.71 per hour based on full attendance) with a Temp to Perm opportunity. Pertemps are recruiting on behalf of a well established company in Newent looking to expand their warehouse operation. This role would suit candidates who enjoy physical work, are reliable and hardworking, and can work flexibly as part of a close knit team. Candidates holding a Forklift Truck Licence and Full UK Driving Licence will be at a distinct advantage.

The Role:

As a Forklift Driver, you will play a vital role in ensuring vehicles are loaded efficiently and safely, helping to maintain smooth daily operations within the warehouse.

Your duties will include:

- Loading vehicles safely and efficiently ready for dispatch.
- Operating a Forklift Truck to move products and materials throughout the warehouse.
- Handling and moving large door products within the warehouse.
- Supporting the warehouse team with general loading and distribution activities.
- Carrying out manual handling duties and physical lifting tasks.
- Ensuring goods are loaded accurately and securely.
- Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards throughout the warehouse.
- Following all company Health & Safety procedures at all times.
- Working flexibly alongside other warehouse operatives to meet operational demands.
- What We're Looking For

We're looking for enthusiastic individuals who:

- Hold a valid Forklift Truck Licence.
- Hold a Full UK Driving Licence.
- Have previous warehouse, loading, or FLT operating experience.
- Are physically fit and comfortable carrying out manual handling duties.
- Can work effectively within a team environment.
- Have a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Are reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high attendance levels.
- Can work flexibly to support changing warehouse schedules and business needs.
- Hours of Work
- Monday to Friday
- Initial training hours: 09:00 - 17:30
- Following successful training, flexibility will be required to work hours that best support the warehouse operation and wider team.

Pay Rate

- £12.71 per hour
- £40 weekly attendance premium (equivalent to approximately £13.71 per hour based on full attendance)
- Any absence during the week will result in the loss of the attendance premium.
- Regular overtime available
