Seasonal Contract for a Gardener/Soft Landscaper

Having been established for over 13 years, George-Stone Gardens holds garden/property maintenance contracts throughout the Cotswolds and has a number of dedicated gardening and landscaping teams. The company specialises in creating dream gardens for homeowners with a complete design, build and maintenance service delivered by in house teams.
Due to the continued success of the company, an opportunity has arisen for a new gardener/soft landscaper to join our existing teams to carry out various garden improvement projects and maintenance on a variety of properties, to George-Stone’s high standard.
The main works would be for a variety of tasks such as:
- Turf laying
- Basic fence installations and timber work
- Sleeper installs such as raised beds and walls
- Installing planting plans
- Hedge cutting
- Assistance on garden maintenance rounds or on larger landscaping jobs as required
Ideal skill base would include:
- Ability to read simple plans and set out a new layout
- Understanding of levels
- Comfortable using a range of hand tools such as drills, breakers, spirit levels etc
- Experience in putting up fences, laying turf etc
- Lawn and Plant care
- An eye for detail
Candidates should have a positive attitude towards their work and colleagues, be reliable, punctual, physically fit, and well presented. Applicants will need to hold a full UK driving licence in order to use company vehicles to facilitate the jobs.
This is a seasonal contract to cover the busy season however long term prospects could be available for the right candidate.
Salary will be based on experience, paid monthly in arrears. Subject to all the benefits of a full time employee.
