About Us

Fireplace Gallery Fires & Stoves is a long-established and respected business based in Cheltenham. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a motivated and customer-focused individual to join our friendly Office and Showroom team.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to develop a long-term career within a specialist industry. Previous experience in the fireplace industry, showroom sales, retail, or office administration would be an advantage, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.

We are looking for someone who is confident dealing with customers, works well as part of a team, and is keen to learn and grow with the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing face-to-face showroom sales advice on gas, electric, and solid fuel fires and surrounds
• Processing customer orders using computer-based systems
• Handling incoming customer telephone calls and enquiries
• Ordering products online and by phone
• Liaising with field-based engineers
• Communicating with manufacturers and suppliers
• Planning engineer schedules and booking appointments
• Supporting the Showroom Manager and Directors with day-to-day operations

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will be:

• Computer literate and confident using office systems
• Friendly, polite, approachable, and adaptable
• Able to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods
• Organised with good prioritisation skills
• A strong team player with a proactive attitude
• Capable of using initiative and problem-solving effectively
• In possession of a full driving licence (beneficial but not essential)

Working Hours

This is a full-time role working 5 days per week, including:

• 4 weekdays: 9:00am – 5:00pm
• Saturday: 8:45am – 1:15pm *

*Please note that Saturday working hours may be subject to slight changes in line with business requirements.

We are closed on Sundays, Bank Holiday Mondays, and for just over one week during Christmas and New Year.

Salary & Benefits

• Starting salary: £26,000 – £28,500 per annum (depending on experience)
• Annual bonus scheme
