Sales Order Coordinator

Our client based in Dursley are currently recruiting for Sales Order Coordinator to join their team on a full time permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a business who are focussed on continued growth by supporting customers with expert knowledge and top-notch customer service.
The ideal candidate will have a dynamic mindset, with the ability to generate new ideas and identify, implement, and drive actions that benefit customers. You will be a strong communicator, able to liaise effectively with supply chain contacts in a fast-paced environment.
Working closely with internal colleagues, ensuring regular communication to provide support to customers, enabling a smooth process from order placement through to delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Process customer orders accurately and on time.
- Manage manual and EDI orders in D365.
- Raise purchase orders and arrange transport.
- Confirm orders with customers within agreed timescales.
- Work with customers to ensure orders are placed on time.
- Build strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
- Work with suppliers, warehouses and transport partners to ensure deliveries run smoothly.
- Monitor orders and deliveries, resolving any issues quickly.
- Keep customers updated about stock shortages or delivery delays.
- Make sure orders, delivery notes and invoices are processed correctly.
- Record and monitor OTIF performance in D365.
- Investigate customer claims, complaints and credit requests.
- Work with Finance to manage customers on hold or proforma accounts.
- Keep sales prices and customer orders up to date in D365.
- Monitor stock levels, short-dated stock and future demand.
- Identify opportunities to upsell and improve efficiency.
- Support new product launches and changes in demand.
- Work with the customs team to ensure orders have the correct paperwork.
- Attend team meetings and provide updates on customer service activity.
- Maintain good communication with customers, suppliers and internal teams.

Hours: Monday - Friday 37.5 hours per week – early Friday finish
Salary: £31,500 (to be reviewed following completion of your probation) + benefits including:
