About the Role There are lots of changes occurring in Local Government at present, and some of these will affect Bishop’s Cleeve. As such, in preparation for these changes, the Council is looking to record and map all of its land and other assets, which you would undertake as part of this role. The postholder will also be responsible for keeping the Council’s Notice Boards updated and undertake some Health & Safety checks of the Council’s facilities, for which a clean driving licence and access to a vehicle is required. About the Role The Council operates a variety of facilities including a Community Building, Astro and football pitches. The role requires a large element of opening and locking for users of these facilities, often in the evenings and at weekends and is looking to recruit a team of caretakers. The roles will also need to undertake health and safety tasks which include water flushing, fire alarm and emergency light testing, watercourse trash screen clearance, litter picking and general basic maintenance. Working Hours The post is for a minimum of 10 hours per week, which will be spread out over several days, with cover over the week being provided on a rota basis with other caretakers. Y
