Our school is a popular all-through academy in South Bristol with an oversubscribed primary phase (two-form entry) and a growing secondary phase, likely to be oversubscribed in September 2025. You will be joining an established team who work hard together to transform the life opportunities for our pupils.
We are looking for an outstanding Head of Mathematics to lead our dynamic and successful department. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and skilled teacher with a passion for mathematics and a proven track record of raising student achievement. The successful candidate will oversee curriculum planning, assessment, and the development of high-quality teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will be responsible for mentoring and supporting colleagues, analysing performance data to inform improvement strategies, and contributing to the wider school leadership. Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to lead and manage the Maths department, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning across all key stages. The Head of Maths will be responsible for raising achievement and progress in mathematics, supporting and developing a team of teachers through effective leadership, contributing to whole-school improvement as a key middle leader and upholding our BRIDGE values.
