Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as a Clinical Governance Facilitator within our Maternity and Neonatal Services team.

The post holder will play an important role in supporting patient safety, quality improvement, and governance activities across maternity and neonatal services. Working closely with clinical and operational colleagues, you will contribute to the coordination of governance processes, including incident management, risk reviews, mortality reviews, and clinical audit programmes. You will support learning from incidents and reviews, monitor quality and safety actions, and assist with compliance against national maternity safety requirements and regulatory standards.

The role will involve supporting the effective use of governance systems and processes, including Datix/Insight, PSIRF, CNST, and Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards. You will help analyse and interpret clinical governance data to identify emerging themes, risks, trends, and opportunities for service improvement, and contribute to the production of high-quality reports, dashboards, and presentations for governance meetings and committees.
