This varied and interesting role provides administrative support to the ward team. You will demonstrate good initiative and judgement, as you will have to work independently, as well as part of the wider ward admin team.Good communication and organisational skills are vital.
Service user care is at the heart of our work, so empathy and compassion go without saying.
Ideally, you will have previous clerical and administrative experience, and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
Main duties of the job
1. Liaise with a wide range of stakeholders, both internal to the organisation and external, including:
o Medical staff
o Multidisciplinary Teams (Community or Inpatient)
o Service users and carers
o Health and Social Care teams
o Third sector/voluntary agencies
o Community groups and local authority provision
o Other statutory agencies e.g., Police, Ministry of Justice etc.
o Provide Secretarial support to named Medical Staff/management team
2. Utilise written and verbal communication skills to connect with a wide range of people, includingoutside agencies, requiring tact and persuasive skills where there may be barriers to understandingor agreement.
3. Exchange verbal and written information with patients, staff, and carers relating to appointments, admissions and meetings, etc.
